At only 19 years old, Brooke Revuelta is already making waves—not just on the pickleball court, but across the globe. The rising star recently became the youngest professional athlete to ever take part in the Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) Goodwill Pro Pickleball Military Tour, marking a milestone for both her personal journey and the sport’s growing presence worldwide.
Last month, Revuelta joined fellow pros Danny Jensen, Walter Lau, and Helen To on a three-week goodwill mission that brought the game of pickleball to 12 U.S. military bases across seven countries, including Turkey, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
More than just a showcase of skills, the tour was built around connection, gratitude, and joy—sharing pickleball’s community spirit with American service members and their families stationed abroad.
A Personal Mission For A Military Family
For Revuelta, this wasn’t just another tournament or clinic—it was something far deeper.
“Being selected for this tour is an absolute honor — not just as a pro pickleball player, but as someone who comes from a military family,” she shared. “My family has always instilled in me a deep respect for those who serve, and now I am showing my appreciation firsthand. This tour is about more than playing a sport — it’s about lifting spirits, saying thank you, and creating unforgettable moments for our troops and their families.”
Revuelta’s military ties run deep. Her great-grandfather served as a B-24 airplane commander in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Her grandfather was part of the U.S. Army’s 7th Finance in Vietnam. And her stepfather held roles in both the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division and 154th Engineer Battalion while stationed in Germany.
Serving Through Sport
During the tour, Revuelta and her teammates led coaching sessions, hands-on clinics, and exhibition matches, inviting soldiers and their families to step onto the court and experience the magic of pickleball firsthand. Locals living in the base communities were also welcomed into the action.
Each event wasn’t just about playing—it was about building relationships, boosting morale, and offering a moment of lightness in the lives of those who serve.
“Pickleball is all about connection, competition, and fun — just like the camaraderie within the military,” Revuelta said. “I’m stepping onto the courts, learning from our soldiers, and sharing what I love about this sport with them.”
A Game That Transcends Borders
This tour represents more than a single athlete’s milestone. It reflects pickleball’s expanding cultural reach—and its potential as a unifying force across borders, generations, and communities.
Brooke Revuelta’s presence on this tour serves as a powerful reminder of the next generation of athletes who are shaping not just the sport, but its impact on the world.
