Lions Club Of KL Prima Hosts Pickleball Charity Tournament In Selangor

Pickleball enthusiasts in Malaysia are gearing up for a day of competition, camaraderie, and charity as the Lions Club of KL Prima announces the KL PRIMA Pickleball Challenge 2025. Taking place on 14 June 2025, the tournament aims to raise funds for a designated charity while providing players with the opportunity to showcase their skills in a spirited yet friendly setting.

Held in partnership with partial sponsor Diadem, the event will be staged at Pickle Crown @ Tropicana Sports Center, located at Level 7, 70, Jalan Nautika B U20/B, TSB Pusat Kommersial Seksyen U20, 40160 Sungai Buloh, Selangor. Matches will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., ensuring a full day of action-packed play.

A Tournament With A Cause

In keeping with the Lions Club’s longstanding mission of community support, all proceeds from the KL PRIMA Pickleball Challenge will be directed toward a charity of choice by Lions Club of KL Prima. This initiative not only elevates the competitive spirit of the players but also underscores the power of sport as a tool for positive change.

“This tournament is more than just a chance to hit the courts,” said a representative from the Lions Club of KL Prima. “It’s about bringing people together for a shared purpose—supporting those in need while celebrating the joy of pickleball.”

Tournament Format And Prize Structure

The KL PRIMA Pickleball Challenge 2025 will focus solely on Men’s Doubles, catering to intermediate and lower intermediate skill levels (DUPR below 3.5). The format includes rally scoring with the following point structures:

  • Elimination Rounds: First to 15 points

  • Semifinals: First to 21 points

  • Final and Bronze Medal Matches: First to 15 points

All matches will employ sudden death rules, meaning there is no requirement to serve to win, ensuring fast-paced and unpredictable outcomes.

Entry And Registration

For those ready to step onto the court and play for a cause, the registration fee is RM120 per person. Participants will be competing for a prize pool of up to RM3,000, adding a competitive edge to the day’s play.
