As summer temperatures rise across the Philippines, so too does the excitement around pickleball. Across the country, popular malls are hosting a wave of pickleball clinics—some free, some paid—aimed at introducing new players to the sport and helping seasoned picklers sharpen their skills.

Ayala Malls U.P. Town Center Launches Pickleball Program With Gold Medalist Coach

At Ayala Malls U.P. Town Center, players aged 15 and above have the chance to join a four-session pickleball clinic led by none other than international gold medalist Ian Alcazar. Participation is easy—simply present receipts totaling at least ₱3,000 from any food or non-food stores within the mall (excluding Merkado, Landers, bill payments, and bazaars) to register.

The sessions will take place on May 4, 11, and 25, and conclude on June 1. Alcazar’s program is thoughtfully structured, beginning with dinking fundamentals and court positioning before progressing to serving, returning, and volleys. The final session will offer a full review and culminate with a mini-tournament, giving participants a chance to put their new skills to the test.

Interested players are encouraged to register by May 4, 2025, to secure their spot.

SM City Novaliches Offers Free Weekend Clinics

Meanwhile, SM City Novaliches is making pickleball even more accessible with a series of free clinics open to all ages and skill levels. Located at the Pickleball & Badminton Court on the Ground Level, these sessions started on April 26 and will continue every Saturday and Sunday through May 25, 2025.

Saturday clinics run from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., while Sunday sessions are held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Residents of Caloocan North and nearby areas now have a perfect opportunity to pick up a paddle and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the world—completely free of charge.

Robinson’s Dasmariñas Hosts Affordable Summer Training Sessions

Robinson’s Dasmariñas is also joining the summer pickleball movement. Partnering with Dasma Pickleball and Crosscourt Sports, the mall is offering structured clinics at an accessible price point.

The first two batches of clinics are set for May 5–9 and May 12–16, with each program including one hour of formal training and four hours of open play per session. The fee for these batches is ₱900.

Later sessions will be available from May 19–20 and May 22–23, with a final batch planned for May 26–29. These later clinics, priced at ₱750, will follow a similar format, combining skill-building drills with plenty of game time to practice.

A Big Summer Ahead For Pickleball In The Philippines

With programs ranging from free introductory clinics to affordable intensive training, pickleball is clearly riding a wave of momentum in the Philippines this summer. Whether you’re stepping onto the court for the first time or fine-tuning your game with the help of an international coach, there’s never been a better time to join the action.

Stay tuned—this summer might just spark the next generation of pickleball talent across the country.
